Below are some of the most common queries that our team are asked – please have a read and if your query isn’t answered here then contact us directly.

  • Please ask your vet to complete our Vet’s Referral Form prior to your dog’s first session (Our referral form can be found under the “Forms” tab or in the top right of every page by clicking the Tab “Vet referral”. Owners can also complete a new patient referral request on our website, and we will do the rest for you.

    ◆ Do NOT feed your dog Two hours prior to a hydrotherapy session.

    ◆ Do NOT bring your dog if they have had diarrhoea within two days of a session.

    ◆ Bitches must not attend during, their season.

    ◆ Please arrive five minutes prior to your appointment time.

    Please wait outside to the right-hand side of the building in the shade until your therapist greets you.

    All patients must enter on a lead (even if your dog is very well behaved).

    Please ensure that your dog has relieved itself prior to entry into the premises.

    Please read our notes on health & safety under terms and conditions.

  • We are happy for you to stay and watch your dog in the pool (and we like you to participate in encouraging your dog when necessary).

    ◆ All dogs undertaking hydrotherapy will be provided with buoyancy aid and swimming collar.

    ◆ Cleanliness – if your dog defecates, please clean up.

    Only one owner with one patient when using the facilities on the first floor.

  • ◆ There is an air-dryer on site, although some nervous dogs prefer towels. Please bring your own towels.

    ◆ Ensure the dog is dried thoroughly after the swim, especially in colder weather.

    ◆ Do NOT feed your dog for at least an hour after the swim.

    ◆ A five-minute swim is believed to be equivalent to a five-mile walk, so please do not exercise your dog after a session.

    ◆ Keep the dog warm and comfortable.

    *Prices matched only to a similar service ie fully qualified (Veterinary Physiotherapist) staff and similar facilities.

  • Many pet insurance policies now cover physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. As members of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) we maintain high professional standards. Before starting treatment, please check your policy allowance with your insurer to see if you're eligible to claim. While we cannot directly claim from your insurer, we will provide all the necessary paperwork for you to validate your claim.

  • The car park is operated by a number plate recognition camera and is restricted to only 60 minutes of free parking.

    All visitors attending an assessment must scan our unique QR code and follow the instructions to activate free parking.

    Visitors are responsible for activating free parking.
